About Us

MULTIPURPOSE AWARENESS SOCIETY

NGO work is important because it supports community development, creates awareness, helps vulnerable people, and promotes education, health, environment, and sustainable livelihoods.

Multipurpose Awareness Society (MAS) works in the fields of education, social welfare, culture, environment, health and community development. The organization conducts awareness programs, educational activities, cultural events, skill development training, and social campaigns to support the overall development of communities. MAS promotes education among children and youth encourages cultural values and traditions, and creates awareness on social issues, public health, environmental protection, and sustainable living. Through community participation and capacity-building initiatives, MAS aims to improve the quality of life and empower people for a better future.

Programs

Science and Environment Awareness Program

We organized a Science and Environment Awareness Program to promote knowledge on environmental issues and scientific concepts. The program reached 20 schools and benefitted 509 students, fostering a deeper understanding of sustainability and science. Through engaging activities and discussions, we aimed to inspire the youth to take proactive steps in preserving the environment. The initiative highlighted the importance of both science and environmental awareness in shaping a sustainable future.

Tree plantation

The Multipurpose Awareness Society (MAS) organized the World Environmental Health Day 2025 celebration on September 27, 2025, at Serenity Farms, Telangana (501203). The event aimed to promote environmental awareness, health, and sustainable living through community participation. As part of the celebration, a tree plantation drive was conducted where MAS volunteers, employees from Microsoft and Google, and local residents planted various saplings such as Tulsi and Amla. The initiative emphasized the importance of green cover and collective responsibility in combating climate change. During the awareness program, participants learned about environmental health, waste management, and eco-friendly practices to maintain a balanced and healthy environment. Dr. B. Nageswara Rao, President of MAS, urged everyone to take an active role in environmental conservation, highlighting that planting and protecting trees is essential for a sustainable future.

Employee Volunteering for Environmental Sustainability

The Multipurpose Awareness Society (MAS) organized an impactful Employee Volunteering Program for Environmental Sustainability on September 18, 2025, at Filmnagar, Telangana. The event brought together enthusiastic volunteers from Microsoft and Google who joined hands with MAS to promote green living and environmental stewardship. As part of the program, participants took part in a tree plantation drive, planting native species such as Tulsi and Amla to enhance local greenery and biodiversity. Volunteers also engaged in discussions and activities focused on waste management, pollution reduction, and sustainable lifestyle practices. The initiative aimed to strengthen corporate social responsibility (CSR) through employee engagement, encouraging professionals to contribute meaningfully to environmental protection efforts. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. B. Nageswara Rao, President of the Multipurpose Awareness Society, highlighted that “environmental sustainability begins with individual action and collective commitment.” The event concluded with a renewed pledge from all participants to continue supporting eco-friendly initiatives that ensure a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable future.

Mental Health Awareness

Awareness initiative focused on promoting physical health, mental well-being, emotional resilience, and community support through education, counseling, and wellness activities.

Environment Conservation Through Cultural Programs in Government Schools under GHMC, Telangana

Multipurpose Awareness Society successfully conducted environmental conservation awareness programs through cultural activities in Government Schools under GHMC, Telangana. The programs included street plays, folk dances, environmental songs, drawing competitions, rallies, and interactive awareness sessions focusing on waste segregation, plastic-free practices, water conservation, cleanliness, and tree plantation.

Waste-to-Useful Daily Use Product (Pillows)

These photographs showcase the implementation of the Waste-to-Useful Daily Use Product (Pillows) Project conducted by Multipurpose Awareness Society at Ibrahimpatnam, Rangareddy District during January 2026. The project focused on promoting environmental sustainability and waste management through the reuse and recycling of waste materials for the preparation of useful daily household products such as pillows. The initiative created awareness among community members, women groups, and youth regarding eco-friendly practices, waste reduction, and livelihood generation through recycling activities. The project encouraged sustainable utilization of discarded materials while supporting environmental conservation and community participation.

Tree Plantation Drive May 2026

As part of the World Thalassaemia Day 2026 activities, the Multipurpose Awareness Society conducted a Tree Plantation Drive on 08.05.2026 at Giriraj Retreat Centre. The plantation programme was organized to promote environmental protection, greenery, and sustainable living. Participants planted saplings and expressed their commitment towards environmental conservation and creating a greener future. Employees from Microsoft and other organizations enthusiastically took part in the activity.

The First International Conference on Health and Pharma – 21 took place on 11th and 12th December 2021 in Hyderabad. This two-day event focused on innovation, technology, and best practices in the public health and pharmaceutical sectors. It addressed challenges and discussed new policies for the public health and pharma industries. The conference was organized by the Multipurpose Awareness Society, with support from the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India.

Robotics Demonstration Program

The Robotics Demonstration Program was a free workshop held from July to September 2019 in Komaram Bheem Asifabad District, Telangana.
